Motorcycle accident in Dietramszell: driver slightly injured, road closed!
On Monday afternoon there was an accident on state road 2072 in Dietramszell in which a 43-year-old motorcyclist was slightly injured. The driver collided with the car of a 27-year-old woman who was traveling towards Ascholding and had braked at that moment to turn left. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist recognized the braking maneuver too late and collided with the rear of the car, reports South Germans.
The severely damaged condition of both vehicles can be estimated at around 7,500 euros. The motorcyclist was immediately taken to a hospital, while the driver was completely uninjured. The state road had to be closed for around 75 minutes in order to carry out the rescue and clean-up work, supported by the Ascholdingen fire department.
More incidents on the streets
What is rather atypical in this region happened just one day later, when two serious motorcycle accidents took place in Icking and Dietramszell. On Tuesday morning, a 66-year-old Belgian motorcyclist suffered serious injuries during a turning maneuver on state road 2072 in Tattenkofen when he was overtaken by a 74-year-old woman from Dietramszell and a collision occurred. However, his companion remained uninjured. The vehicles suffered massive damage, totaling around 12,000 euros, like that Yellow leaf reported.
The subsequent accident on Wednesday morning involved a 20-year-old motorcyclist who collided on the B11 with a 61-year-old from Munich who had apparently overlooked him. Unfortunately, the young driver was unable to get out of the way and suffered serious injuries, while the driver suffered from shock. The amount of damage is estimated at 24,000 euros, and the Munich resident is being investigated for negligent bodily harm.
Statistical insights into traffic accidents
With all these tragic incidents in mind, it is relevant to take a look at the general traffic accident statistics. According to that Federal Statistical Office the number of traffic accidents is constantly increasing. These sometimes devastating accidents often disrupt everyday life in the affected regions. While such a daily increase in accidents is thought-provoking, the hope remains that through timely awareness and traffic education, safety on our roads can be improved.
