Full Loisachufer: Bananafishbones rock Wolfratshausen at the festival!

Last Saturday evening, Wolfratshausen experienced a special kind of musical celebration. The Bananafishbones performed at the Fluss Festival, a band that has given over 1,000 concerts since 1999 and is touring across Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy and Switzerland with their current album “12 Songs in One Day”. The concert attracted a full Loisachufer, who were clearly in a party mood and thrilled the band with thunderous applause and dance performances. The musicians, Sebastian Horn (vocals, bass), Peter Horn (vocals, guitar) and Florian Rein (drums), created a lively atmosphere that made the evening an unforgettable experience. The audience could hardly stay in their seats and transformed the area into a pulsating club.

The band itself impresses with a unique musical style that combines country folk with hip-hop elements and catchy melodies. One could perceive associations with well-known artists such as the Bloodhound Gang, Smashing Pumpkins and Johnny Cash. Particularly highlighted was the cover version of “Just like heaven” by The Cure, which was extremely well received by the audience. Their musical technical precision – described as “tight” – leaves nothing to be desired and is widely appreciated by fans.

An anniversary and more

One of the reasons for the Bananafishbones' high level of attention is the 25th anniversary of their album "Viva Conputa", which has now been reissued as a vinyl double album. Hits like “Easy Day” and “Come to Sin” were performed in the encore and underlined the band’s continued popularity. For their performance, the musicians wore simple white shirts and black ties, which gave their performance an appealing touch.

But the Bananafishbones are not only active in the concert business. The band has also shown a good hand in film, audio book and theater productions. For example, they created the music for the successful film series “The Wild Things” and contributed to the soundtrack of “Those who die sooner are dead longer”. Guitarist Peter Horn also showed his talent as a composer for films such as “A Very Hot Number” and “The Terminator”.

A look at the German music scene

The German music scene itself has a long and diverse history, from classical music to cabaret and swing to modern trends such as electronic and hip hop. Artists such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Richard Wagner have shaped the classical music country of Germany, while modern German music has been heavily influenced by various movements such as the Neue Deutsche Welle with artists such as Nena and the Hamburg School with bands such as Blumfeld and Tocotronic. It has been shown again and again that musical culture is very important in Germany and that very different genres can be creatively linked together.

The Bananafishbones, with their refreshing style and ability to reach a wide audience, are not only an example of lively live music, but also a part of the vibrant cultural life that is deeply rooted in Germany. It remains to be seen what other surprising performances and innovative music projects the band has in store for us in the future.
