SPD Bayreuth-Land presents: Stephanie Hartmann-Erdal as district administrator candidate!
Something is happening in politics in Bayreuth-Land: The SPD recently nominated Stephanie Hartmann-Erdal as its district administrator candidate for the 2026 local elections. The 49-year-old from Weidenberg, who has lived in the region for 17 years, brings a wealth of experience from the local party. Hartmann-Erdal is a trained media specialist, married and mother of three daughters. At the official nomination, which is scheduled to take place in early autumn 2025, she will comprehensively present her values and political priorities. Values such as attitude, openness and politics with heart are in the foreground, as the Kurier reports.
Hartmann-Erdal is particularly committed to a livable and sustainable future. Her focus includes the expansion of renewable energies, digital progress and a reduction in bureaucracy. Here she would like citizens to feel more close to politics, especially in topics such as care, family, volunteerism and women's rights. Her political career began at the age of 16, and she has deep roots in the SPD - her great-grandfather was a member of the state parliament, and her father led the Warmensteinach SPD.
Commitment and challenge
At the last district delegate conference, in which Hartmann-Erdal also took part, the comrades spoke about the tense financial situation in the district. The parliamentary group leader Stephan Unglaub made it clear that the issues of budget consolidation and cost increases in areas such as youth, family and clinics show an urgent need for action. The SPD is calling for more financial support for the assigned tasks at the federal and state levels. There are also a number of projects on the agenda, including the extension to the district office and the expansion of the thermal baths in Obernsees.
At the most recent annual general meeting of the Weidenberg SPD local association, which took place on October 4, 2024, cooperation within the party was strengthened again. The members honored long-time comrades and elected a new board. Matthias Böhner remains as first chairman, while Stephanie Hartmann-Erdal remains loyal to her position as secretary, reports Wiesentbote.
The search for candidates
The SPD Bayreuth-Land's commitment fits seamlessly into the efforts of all local parties who are currently looking for suitable candidates for upcoming elections. Competition is fierce and today's challenges require competent and passionate representatives. Daniel Schober from the Nüremberger Nachrichten highlights that the challenge of finding new candidates is at the top of the agenda for many parties, as can be read in the reports of the NÜRNBERGER NACHRICHTEN.
With Stephanie Hartmann-Erdal at the helm, the SPD Bayreuth-Land will certainly provide interesting impulses to take the needs and wishes of the citizens into account. It will be interesting to see what developments will emerge between now and the election next year.
