The 61-year-old driver of the Skoda, who was traveling from Himmelkron towards Ludwigschorgast, crossed into the oncoming lane for reasons that are still unclear and collided with an oncoming truck. Unfortunately, the driver immediately succumbed to serious injuries and died at the scene of the accident, while the 59-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer fortunately remained uninjured.
