Arracher See-Kirta 2025: Colorful hustle and bustle despite the rainy weather!

The 12th Lake Arracher Kirta took place recently and defied the unpleasant weather that often puts a damper on many festivals. There were 38 stalls around the bathing lake in Arrach, ensuring a lot of activity. Despite the horror in the sky, the market opened its doors at 8 a.m. and attracted numerous visitors who were looking forward to a colorful mix of goods. Organizer Marco Haimerl, with the active support of his wife Nicole, made the best of the challenging situation. He emphasized that the community of Arrach wanted to continue the tradition of this festival, which was impressively demonstrated by the solidarity and joy of the visitors.

The offering was particularly diverse: from household supplies to wood carvings to specially selected salami specialties and freshly prepared pizza, there was something for everyone. FC Bayern fans could also be happy, because in addition to antiques and flea market goods, there were also items for real football enthusiasts to buy. The local cuisine was also enriched by the Stoarieda Ottenzell traditional costume association with sausages and sweet delicacies at the cake counter.

Entertainment for the whole family

Festival visitors could not only shop, but also get active. Children were also welcome - the children's group from the traditional costume club performed cheerful dances and put a smile on the faces of the spectators. The event was accompanied musically by Heinerl Schmidberger, who put a good mood in the event pavilion and heated up the atmosphere with his music.

Activities such as swimming in the lake, pirate rafts and a trip to the Nature Art Park provided further variety. Adventurous people could try their hand at adventure mini golf and then fortify themselves in the “Hoamat”. The popularity of the Arracher-See-Kirta and similar festivals in the Bavarian region make it clear that folk festivals are a great experience not only for the locals, but also for tourists. These celebrations invite you to experience Bavarian culture and hospitality up close and enjoy a social get-together. As always, it is worth finding out about any weather changes and entry conditions well in advance, especially for large events.

The cultural program, known as “Bunter Sommer”, has been organized by the Seepark working group since 2000 and is very popular. It offers a varied range of musical performances and attracts thousands of visitors every year, who can enjoy all events without admission. Further information is available online.
