Three anniversaries in Pipinsried: A celebration for the village community!

A solemn occasion is just around the corner: On Sunday, July 20th, the first parish festival in 30 years will be celebrated in Pipinsried. This event not only represents a look back at three important anniversaries, but also a tribute to the commitment of the village community. Again Danube Courier reported, they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first parish festival, the 30th anniversary of the site-specific exhibition, which was organized by Rosmarie Henkel, and the 30th anniversary of the function of the rectory, which was converted into the old horse stable of the rectory.

A look at the roots of this celebration shows the close connection between the community and the parish hall, which was consecrated in 1995. It was a community project that was supported by personalities such as Rudolf Würzl, the chairman of the village renewal, and other locally committed craftsmen. Since then, the parish hall has served as a versatile meeting place for celebrations and events in the community.

A program for young and old

The feast day begins with a solemn service in the parish church of St. Dionysus, where a new mass has already been rehearsed and will be performed by a choir and wind instruments. Afterwards, visitors can look forward to a colorful festival program at Pfarrplatz, which includes rolled roasts, refreshing salads, coffee and a variety of cakes. The background music and lively performances by children also promise to enrich the atmosphere.

The excellent organization of this festival is due not least to the decades-long commitment of Rosmarie Henkel. Not only did she bring the parish festival into being, but she also enriched the village community with her tireless efforts over 40 years. Already in 2024 she was awarded the Citizens' Medal of the municipality of Altomünster and is considered an important support in volunteer work.

Volunteering – the heart of the village

In Germany, over 30 million people are active on a voluntary basis, and their commitment is essential not only for the social fabric of a village, but also for the entire life of the community. The RLP Magazine emphasizes that volunteering not only improves people's quality of life, but also promotes cultural events, environmental protection and the integration of new villagers.

Rosmarie Henkel, who, among other things, headed the horticultural association for 28 years and was active on the nature conservation advisory board, represents many who are committed to strengthening the sense of community. Your voice is not only heard in Pipinsried; she also took part in diversification projects for village renewal and land consolidation.

The upcoming celebration is not only a look back at the past, but also a look into the future of the village community. The active involvement of all generations and the full spectrum of voluntary commitment show once again that communities are strong in their diversity and can continue to flourish in the future.

“We are looking forward to seeing both old and new faces at our festival,” said the organizers, who hope that the parish festival will be a successful occasion for exchange among each other.
