The anticipation for the “TOUJOURS MOZART” music festival is already noticeable! This will change on January 31st and February 1st, 2026 Munich Artists' House into a musical temple that is entirely dedicated to the great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This year's theme “Mozart's Men” is dedicated to the personalities who were essential to Mozart's work. This promises to be a celebration for old and new Mozart fans alike.
The Senior citizens' office of the city of Deggendorf In collaboration with the International Foundation for the Promotion of Culture and Civilization Munich, has a special offer for seniors: discounted tickets are available at a preferential price of just 5 euros per person. This campaign makes it possible for people with smaller budgets to be able to enjoy the great Mozart pieces.
A musical reunion
The two days of the festival, on which you can enjoy Mozart in its original sound, offer an impressive program. Under the direction of Rüdiger Lotter, who conducts the Munich Court Orchestra, works will be performed that are closely linked to important personalities from Mozart's life. These personalities include his father Leopold Mozart, who recognized and encouraged his son's talents, and Elector Karl Theodor, who commissioned the first major opera “Idomeneo”. Joseph Haydn, a close contemporary of Mozart, is also honored in the program.
A special highlight will be the Piano-Violin Sonata in B major KV 378, which is not directly linked to Mozart himself, but comes from someone who has made a great contribution to Mozart's memory. The event is ideal for all those who want authentic sound enjoyment and want to experience the stories about Mozart's life in a musical context.
