Deggendorf referee group elects new chairman: Glashauser takes over!

On October 24, 2025, the annual general meeting of the Deggendorf referee group took place at the Gasthof Zwickl in Seebach. A very special moment in the club's history, because after four successful years, Florian Steininger handed over management to his successor Tobias Glashauser, who will direct the fortunes of the referee group with fresh energy and clear vision.

Steininger, visibly emotional, looked back on a successful term during the meeting and thanked the team and the community for the great support. Lower Bavaria's head of football, Harald Haase, and district referee chairman Robert Fischer delivered warm greetings. A number of prominent members were also present behind the scenes, including Matthias Braun, Tina Ilg, Stefan Dorfner and Daniel Linsmeier from the district referee committee.

New team under Glashauser

With Tobias Glashauser as the new chairman, a new team was elected to lead the referee group in the coming years. In addition to Glashauser, the following people actively support the interests of the referees:

  • Katharina Schwitz (Beisitzerin)
  • Michael Erndl (Beisitzer)
  • Anton Stettmer (Lehrwart)
  • Felix Kainz (stv. Lehrwart)
  • Michael Weinzier (Kassier)
  • Maximilian Riedl (Schriftführer)
  • Daniel Hühmer (Einteiler)

“Preserve tradition, strengthen community and shape the future” is the motto that Glashauser presented for his term of office, and the course for cooperative and future-oriented leadership has been set clearly.

Another important point on the agenda was the farewell to Markus Eglseder as teaching supervisor. However, Eglseder will continue to be active at the district level, which is positive news for everyone.

Courses for referees in Deggendorf

Parallel to the personnel changes in the top management, the training of new referees is also in full swing. The Deggendorf referee group is currently offering a comprehensive course to train football referees. This will take place from September 19th to October 26th, 2025 and starts with an online meeting.

For all those interested in becoming a referee, there are numerous training dates, including several face-to-face events and a final exam. The training is aimed at young people aged 12 and over who love sports and who enjoy leading games in a neutral and decisive manner. Registration takes place using a form from SRG Deggendorf.

In conclusion, it can be said that the annual general meeting and the ongoing courses are steering the Deggendorf referee group into a promising future. If you need more information about the courses, you can contact the group leader Markus Eglseder directly.
