Reisbach celebrates record start: 90 first graders conquer the school!
On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the time had finally come: the Reisbach elementary school (Dingolfing-Landau district) opened its doors to a whopping 90 first graders. This is record-breaking and marks the highest number of school starters in the history of this educational institution. The children carried lovingly decorated school bags to school, while the excited parents waved to them in front of the school building and gave them good wishes pnp.de reported.
The principal, Sandra Schütz, warmly welcomed the new students from classes 1a, 1b and 1d. She emphasized the importance of this special day and wished the children much success, enthusiasm, hard work, perseverance and, above all, joy in learning. The class teachers were ready to accompany the little students into their new classrooms, while the older second graders gave a great welcome with a musical welcome.
Insight into the classes
Class 1a consists of 22 children and is supervised by class teacher Hanna Wagner. Birgit Ramsauer teaches in class 1b, also with 22 students. The 1d includes 23 first graders who will learn in the hands of Katja Wittenzellner. In Oberhausen, class 1c was welcomed by deputy principal Regina Lichtinger. The children received a very special welcome gift in the form of a small courage marble, which is intended to remind them to always have the courage to try new things. Each child walked through a line of cheering second graders, who sang happy songs and clapped.
While the children were waiting for the contents of their school bags on their first day of school, the excitement of the parents was also palpable. During the first lessons, they were provided with important information about everyday school life. A special highlight was the parents' café, which was offered by the parents' council at both locations.
Special school bags and friendships
Some children were particularly proud of their school bags. Carolina Huber from 1c presented her pink school cone decorated with butterflies and glitter. The close friendship with Emilia Holzmann from kindergarten is now continued at school. There are already initial friendships in 1b, for example between Leni Baumgartner and Ludwig Piskatsch, who displays his red and white Bayern school cone with great pride.
Lessons for the second to fourth grades at the Reisbach elementary school started on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, and took place at the usual times from 8:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. After the start, the new students can prepare for an exciting school year.
The school community in Reisbach is growing and thriving, and with the record-breaking number of first graders, the foundation has been laid for many exciting learning experiences. There have never been so many young children starting school at the Reisbach primary school, and the anticipation of what is to come is clearly in the air.
