Eichstätter students are fighting for their qualifications in a busy summer
Things are getting hot in Eichstätt! The seriousness of life has begun today for 138 students: the written final exams for the qualifying middle school diploma are coming up. 104 students from the Schottenau middle school and 24 examinees from the Eichstätt Montessori school are among the examinees. There are also ten external participants, including trainees and vocational students who want to get their qualifications. Despite the summer temperatures, the young people are required to keep a cool head in order to meet this challenge. Some classrooms have been moved to the nearby boxing hall, which promises the examinees a refreshing cool down.
The examination process starts with the subject English and continues with the subjects German, mathematics, nature and technology (NT) and history/politics/geography (GPG). It is undoubtedly an enormous challenge that pushes some of the students to their limits. Ultimately, however, a varied program awaits you after the exams: numerous options are offered, from taking part in a dance course to voluntary internships. And don’t forget – the certificate award ceremony is also coming up soon. The conclusion is now within reach. Donaukurier reports that ...

This type of assessment is intended to promote positive learning attitudes in students as they learn for their own interest, not just for good grades. In addition, students at Montessori schools have the opportunity to acquire all state qualifications, including their own Montessori qualification, which ends with a “major practical work”.
