Construction site chaos on S-Bahn line S2: passengers have to reschedule!
Summer has arrived in Munich, and with it comes some changes for S-Bahn passengers. How ed-live.de reported, switch construction work and deep drainage will take place in the nights from July 12th to 20th. This work concerns the S2 S-Bahn line, which will be significantly affected by the construction work.
The construction work is scheduled for the nights of Saturday/Sunday, 12/13. July, and on Friday/Saturday, 18/19. July, and on Saturday/Sunday, 19/20. July planned. On these nights we work between 8:50 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., which can lead to timetable changes, delays and cancellations. There will also be a replacement service, and mobile metal boxes will be available to inform and support passengers.
Which lines are affected?
Here is an overview of the S-Bahn lines and their respective changes:

Passengers are asked to pay particular attention to the displays and announcements during this time so as not to miss any important information. Information about other construction sites on the Munich S-Bahn can be found on the S-Bahn website at s-bahn-muenchen.de.
Long-term changes
However, the changes mentioned above are not the only ones coming to the Munich S-Bahn in the near future. On the 28th/29th July, 18th/19th August and 8th/9th There will also be timetable changes in September. These are just some of the many works that are necessary to bring the Munich S-Bahn infrastructure up to modern standards, among other things augsburger- Allgemeine.de has documented.
It is recommended to be patient during this time and to use alternative transport routes if necessary. This means that the way to the office or to weekend plans remains relaxed and stress-free. Always have a good trip on the S-Bahn!
