ASB Federal Cup 2025: Witten crowned champions in Forchheim!
On Saturday, July 14, 2025, things got down to sport in Forchheim: The ASB Bundescup 2025 attracted ten teams from different parts of Germany, including Hamburg, Bremen, Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria, to the SpVgg Jahn Forchheim sports grounds. A team from the ASB Federal Association with fans from Cologne was also at the start. The anticipation of exciting games was palpable!
In the rousing final, the players from ASB Witten competed against the hosts from Forchheim. The enthusiastic spectators were not disappointed: ASB Witten secured victory and lifted the challenge cup, which will remain with the Samaritans from North Rhine-Westphalia for two years. Wiesentbote reports that all participants were awarded a medal, while the first place winners took home the challenge cup.
Community and joy
The Bavarian ASB regional manager Dr. Jarno Lang was enthusiastic about the event and emphasized the important role of sport for the community among the Samaritans. The tournament, which has existed since 2014, not only promotes sporting skills, but also intra-association exchange. How ASB NRW explains, the challenge cup was created specifically for the competition and has a symbolic meaning for the well-being and work of the Samaritans.
The ASB Bundescup is very popular and attracts numerous players year after year. In previous years, the tournament brought together over 100 participants from various ASB locations. A spectacle for the whole family - with enthusiastic fans who created a great atmosphere, similar to the ASB fans from Ruhr, who created a great atmosphere with drums and flags.
Happy faces and sporting achievements
The sporting achievements were anything but insignificant: During the day of the event, the teams were able to demonstrate their skills and play thrilling games. From the experience of previous tournaments, we know that the ASB Bundescup is not only intended as a competition, but also as a gathering of like-minded people Ball friends notes.
