FC Gerolfing overwhelms champions SVN Munich 7:3 – shock for the league!

In the North District League, FC Gerolfing caused a big sensation by overtaking the previous champions SVN Munich 7:3. The Munich team suffered their first defeat of the season. It was an exciting match that captivated many spectators, even though the game was interrupted for around half an hour after player-coach Den Lovric was unavailable due to injury. Lovric, who was transported to the hospital with a suspected broken wrist, was unable to confirm a fracture, but it was determined that ligaments and tendons were affected. Regardless of these adversities, FC Gerolfing temporarily moved into a relegation place, which represents a bright spot in the relegation battle.

The game started with an early lead goal for SVN Munich by Dylan Tougan in the 6th minute. But Gerolfing turned things around and went into half-time with a 2-1 lead. The goal scorers for Gerolfinger were Anastasios Porfyriadis, Lucas Achhammer and Christian Träsch, who hit the mark twice. Leo Zängler also contributed two more goals. Tarak Boussarsar from Munich scored the next goal, but that couldn't avert the clear defeat. 100 spectators watched the impressive spectacle and the strong performance of the home team, which was viewed as positive by coach Lovric, despite the injury problem.

Intense derby in Walpertskirchen

Another highlight of the weekend was the city derby between Walpertskirchen and Altenerding, which was played in front of 500 spectators. In a thrilling game, the Walpertskirchen team won 3-2. Coach Josef Heilmeier reported that the game was marked by injuries to the captains, but these did not dampen the morale and fighting spirit of his team. The spectators were entertained with an exciting duel that further fueled anticipation for future games.

SVA Palzing fought to a 2-2 draw against Langengeisling, with coach Enes Mehmedovic describing the result as fair but noting that an avoidable mistake led to the second goal being conceded.
