Fresch Freising: Surprised to come second in the TUI ranking of swimming pools!

In the cheerful tone of summer, the operators of fresch Freising are happy about a remarkable success: According to the current TUI ranking, the outdoor pool has taken second place among the most popular outdoor pools in Germany. This was reported by [merkur.de]. Pool manager Alexander Frederking expressed surprise and delight at the award, which rewards the commitment and special features of the outdoor pool. This has made a name for itself through a successful combination of indoor and outdoor pools, high levels of cleanliness and the friendliness and attentiveness of its team.

The outdoor pool season officially began on May 10th and the entire outdoor pool area has only been available since Father's Day. The fresch has a colorful range of activities on offer for bathers. Particularly noteworthy are the treasure hunt in the sandpit, where children can find hidden coins and gemstones, as well as the tree trail, which provides interesting information about different tree species.

Planned highlights for the summer

But fresch has even more to offer: On July 12th and 13th there will be a 24-hour swim for a good cause, organized by the Rotary Club. The first fresch family festival will also be celebrated on July 27th, replacing the traditional ass bomb competition. At this festival, visitors can expect exciting promotions and competitions, which are implemented in collaboration with the partners fire department, THW, BRK, police and TSV Jahn. The popular radio station Radio TOP FM will provide additional entertainment.

In the TUI ranking, fresch Freising takes second place with a rating of 8,523 points. It is only narrowly beaten by the Caprima adventure pool in Dingolfing, which takes first place with a rating of 8,557 points. The ranking takes into account over 2,000 bathing establishments and is based on Google reviews, which enables an objective classification. The providers have demonstrated a good knack for putting regional pearls of swimming and bathing culture in the spotlight.

The trend for swimming

Interest in domestic travel destinations will remain high in 2025, according to data from tui.com. Around 29% of Germans plan holidays in their own country, and the popularity of day trips has increased over the last decade. The swimming culture is flourishing: 27% of Germans go swimming at least once a month, and the number of people who jump into the water every week has almost doubled since 2015.

There are over 3,000 bathing establishments in Germany, including 2,416 pure outdoor pools and 401 combined pools. The fresch proves to be a particularly outstanding offer that combines the needs of swimmers and the whole family. With such successes behind him, pool manager Frederking would like to continue to go his own way in the future and respond to the specific needs of his guests.
