Rosenhof-Lichtspiele Moosburg: again awarded for best film art!

The colorful lights of the cinemas are also blooming brightly in Moosburg. The Rosenhof light games have once again secured a coveted prize: the cinema program bonus from the Film FernsehenFonds Bayern. At the ceremonial award ceremony, which took place in Kempten, a total of 78 cinemas from all over Bavaria were honored. Another reason to be happy: The Rosenhof Cinema is celebrating its 75th anniversary, which will take place on November 26, 2025!

The Rosenhof-Lichtspiele have made a name for themselves with their varied and high-quality film selection. Bavaria's Film and Media Minister Florian Herrmann personally presented the award to cinema operator Verena Dollinger and praised the outstanding importance of such arthouse cinemas for cultural diversity in the Free State. Did you know that the cinema is now in the hands of the third generation of the family? Ana Dollinger ran the cinema until it was renovated in 2009, when it was continued by Verena Dollinger's parents.

High award for a strong program

As the South German newspaper reports, the cinema was not only honored for its many years of existence, but also specifically recognized for the 2024 annual program. The film television fund Bavaria award is awarded annually and rewards cinemas for their exceptional program, which includes a high number of German and European film productions. A total of 800,000 euros goes to cinemas every year that promote cultural diversity.

Verena Dollinger is proud of the long tradition of the Rosenhof cinemas and would like to thank her team and the loyal guests who keep the cinema culture alive in Moosburg. What is particularly fascinating is the fact that the cinema has already received awards in 2019 and 2023, which underlines the continuity of high-quality film performances.

Awarded by the best

The BR emphasizes that when selecting the award-winning cinemas, special attention is also paid to the offerings for children, families and documentaries. A good arc that allows viewers a wide range of film culture. This shows that smaller cinemas such as the Rosenhof-Lichtspiele play an important cultural role not only in the region, but throughout Bavaria.

Cheers to the cinema culture in Bavaria, which offers a diverse and first-class platform for film-loving viewers with cinemas like the Rosenhof-Lichtspiele!
