20 years of Ilzer Land: Eppenschlag celebrates with a big parish festival!
The ILE Ilzer Land is celebrating its 20th anniversary in a fitting setting with a jubilee tour through the twelve member municipalities. On July 20th of this year, the parish festival took place in Eppenschlag, which was celebrated as one of the highlights of this anniversary the PNP reports.
The festival began with a solemn service at which citizens from Eppenschlag and the surrounding area came together to properly celebrate this special occasion. Afterwards, a festive procession headed towards the amusement park, accompanied by various local clubs. The absolute highlight was an exciting Olympics, moderated by Pastor Simon Steinbauer, where the participants competed against each other in disciplines such as group skiing, sack races and rubber boot throwing. These entertaining competitions created a happy atmosphere and a great community, in which numerous local clubs took part.
A variety of activities and prizes
As part of the anniversary tour, the ILE Ilzer Land also had the mobile trailer, known as the “Ilzer Flitzer”, in its luggage. In addition to the entertainment, a competition awaited festival visitors, in which attractive prizes such as a sightseeing flight for three people, two tickets for the “Enjoyment on the River 2026” event and a meal voucher worth 50 euros were raffled off ilzerland.bavaria is to be experienced. The festival attracted numerous visitors and offered a varied program for young and old.
The managing director of the ILE, Corina Molz, emphasized that this day is a shining example of the successful cooperation, volunteerism and community spirit that are very important in the region.
The other highlights of the anniversary tour
As part of the anniversary tour, the ILE Ilzer Land will also make further stops. For example, Grafenau, Schöfweg and Ringelai were already on the program. Future events are in Hutthurm on July 26th and 27th and in Innernzell and Perlesreut in August, to name just a few. The exact dates and details can be viewed in the new WalDi app, which was specially developed for connecting communities. Whether sporty or leisurely: A colorful range of events awaits everyone involved to celebrate this anniversary appropriately and to keep the centuries-old tradition of the community in the Ilzer Land alive.
