This is particularly important as Vornbach currently sits on 8 points in the table and is looking right over the shoulder of 1.FC Passau with 7 points.

In the past two years, DJK Vornbach has not lost a single home game; their last defeat was on September 2, 2023 against SpVgg Niederalteich. Defense chief and team manager Thomas Schacherbauer emphasizes that the home game atmosphere is always another motivating factor. Home games usually attract at least 250 spectators, but given the derby there could be significantly more this time, even if parking spaces at the sports facility are limited.
“No matter how strong the opponent is – for us derby means giving everything!” Schacherbauer continued, although he was optimistic that the team could manage to stay in the league even without major injuries.
