Fight for the climb: Four A-Junior teams in the relegation!

What is happening in the region in youth football? A look at the current developments shows that the A-Juniors of the SG Riedlhütte in the Bayerischer Wald district league play at the forefront. On June 15, 2025, the team secured the championship with a clear 3-1 win against SG Tiefenbach. But the association has made an unexpected decision: it does not participate in the promotion relegation. Instead, SG FC Dreilessel moves up as a second place, as district leader Tobias Nöbauer announced. This offers an exciting opportunity for the team to prove themselves in the upcoming relegation games.

In this round there are four teams on the brink who fight for a place in the district league. The master of the district league Deggendorf, SG Gergweis II, cannot rise due to provisions. On the last matchday of the Passau district league, TSV Waldkirchen set the title, while the JFG Straubing-Bogen became champion in the Kreisliga Straubing. Only one of the four surrounding teams-TSV Waldkirchen, JFG Straubing-Bogen, SG Aidenbach or SG Ortenburg-will ultimately make the leap into the district league.

The upcoming relegation games are of great importance for the teams involved. On Saturday, June 28th, the first meeting between SG Aidenbach/SG Ortenburg and JFG Straubing-Bogen will take place at 2 p.m., the exact venue has not yet been determined. We have the duel between TSV Waldkirchen and SG FC Dreissessel in Hauzenberg at 5 p.m. The final of the relegation will kick off on July 2 at 6:15 p.m., where the two winners meet to play the district championship title and promotion to the district league.

In the meantime, there are also exciting developments among the B-juniors. There is a free place in the district league for the districts of East and West, and the masters of the respective district leagues, SG Vornbach or VfB Passau from the east, on July 6th at 5 p.m. against the title bearers of the district league SR/DEG, JFG Straubinger Land. The game takes place in Handlab-iggensbach and could mean higher parties.

B juniors in the promotion battle

The first leg of the B-Juniors on June 30th against the Schwäbisch Hall syndicate, which will take place on the sports grounds in Dahenfeld, is also interesting. Despite a "serious failure", coach Andreas Bürger - midfielder Fabio Trignola will not be able to participate due to a crack in the inner meniscus. His focus is on the defensive, because Schwäbisch Hall has a strong offensive with several players who have already scored two -digit goals.

The support of the audience is very important for the Neckarsulm team in order to achieve the goal of promotion to the association league. The second leg on July 7th in Schwäbisch Hall offers the opportunity to bring about the turn and make a possible defeat well again.
