The A-Juniors of TSV Waldkirchen prevailed in an exciting game against Regen with a score of 3:4 at the weekend and thus remain at the top of the table in the U19 district league. Coach Erwin Vielreich was critical of his team's use of opportunities, especially in the first half. The goals were scored by Samuel Weiß (8th minute), Kevin Rodler (22nd and 37th minutes) and Luis Maier (74th minute). Regen goalkeeper Sebastian Ruh made remarkable saves and kept several more goals at bay.

B-Juniors and C-Juniors lose and win
The B-Juniors of TSV had to admit defeat 0-3 against JFG Straubinger Land on Sunday. Coach Lothar Kinateder praised the improvement in attitude, tackling behavior and willingness to run, but the team still remains without a goal after six games. Their next chance to win a point is on Sunday against the pointless SpVgg GW Deggendorf III, who will play at 10:15 a.m.
The C juniors, on the other hand, were able to celebrate a deserved 3-1 win against JFG Straubinger Land. Leon Berger scored an early free kick goal in the 3rd minute before Lukas Heigl equalized for the visitors in the 12th minute. Berger, who played brilliantly for Waldkirchen, converted a penalty in the 41st minute and shortly afterwards David Przesdzink scored to make the final score 3-1. The C-Juniors celebrated their fifth win in their seventh game and will face SV Schalding-Heining on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
D-Juniors in a draw
The D-Juniors played a draw against Passau-Grubweg at the weekend and had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Dmytro Tresin gave Waldkirchen the lead in the 26th minute, but the opponent equalized shortly before the half-time whistle. The important games for the different age groups in youth football are not only important for the young players, they also reflect the activities and successes of the entire club. In football, the age group division, which is regulated in Germany and Austria with a deadline of January 1st, ensures that the competitive conditions for young athletes are fair and balanced. Depending on the age group, the players compete in different leagues, which promotes both the competitive spirit and the development of talent. The following classification applies to the 2025/26 season:
| Age group | vintages |
|---|---|
| G-Juniors (Bambini/U7) | 2019 and younger |
| F-Juniors (U8/U9) | 2017 and 2018 |
| E-Juniors (U10/U11) | 2015 and 2016 |
| D-Juniors (U12/U13) | 2013 and 2014 |
| C Juniors (U14/U15) | 2011 and 2012 |
| B Juniors (U16/U17) | 2009 and 2010 |
| A-Juniors (U18/U19) | 2007 and 2008 |
The challenges that arise for the young players as they progress through these age groups are diverse. Every season brings new experiences, and while the A-Juniors are at the top of their league, the B-Juniors are fighting for the first consolation goal. But as is always the case in football: the next round is upon us, and every kick-off can mean the chance for a new beginning.
