SPD Fürstenfeldbruck: Andreas Magg leads a strong list of candidates for the election!
The SPD in the Fürstenfeldbruck district recently drew up its list of candidates for the upcoming district council elections in 2026. The event took place in the community center in Mammendorf, where 45 of 74 delegates gathered, while the others gave their consent in writing. The list is from Mercury According to Andreas Magg, the incumbent mayor of Olching.
Magg, who is considered an experienced local politician, will be followed by the deputy local chairwoman from Puchheim, Petra Weber. Other candidates, such as Julia Worch from Olching and Gregor von Uckermann from Gröbenzell, are also on the list. Interestingly, current district council members such as Norbert Seidl, Waltraut Wellenstein and Dr. Christoph Maier is also among the applicants. However, one of the most famous faces, Margit Quell from Mammendorf, will no longer stand for election.
A unified course
The selection meeting took place without any opposing candidates, which underlines the eventual acceptance of the list of proposals. Meeting leader Eberhard Uhrich urged the candidates to introduce themselves more briefly so that everyone had the chance to represent their point of view. The SPD in the district has attached great importance to adhering to a uniform course, which is also reflected in Magg's criticism of the previous work of the incumbent district administrator Thomas Karmasin. He spoke of a huge renovation backlog of three quarters of a billion euros, which makes the need for a change clearer.
Andreas Magg formulated the SPD's claim to actively shape the district and not just manage it. Expressing this conviction with clear words, showing talent and not talking past the problems are hallmarks of his political career. Michael Schrodi, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance, also offered a perspective on federal policy at the meeting.
Looking into the future
Another important date is coming up in May, as the Social Democrats are inviting people to the nomination event for their district administrator candidate on May 17, 2025. This takes place publicly in the column hall of the Fürstenfeld event forum and begins at 11 a.m. The SPD hopes for numerous participants who are interested in the future of the district and who would like to enjoy the musical contribution of students from the August-Everding Academy in Munich. A small drink and get-together rounds off the event and offers the opportunity for exchange.
Andreas Magg, who has served as mayor for over 16 years, brings not only experience but also far-reaching plans to improve the district's finances and resolve the backlog of renovations at schools. In comparison, by South Germans emphasizes how important strong citizen participation is, which the district SPD underlines by inviting people to the event.
Daniel Liebetruth, the chairman of the SPD district council group, is convinced that Andreas Magg has the ideal qualifications to replace the current CSU district administrator. His vision of leading the district in a positive direction promises a lot and could bring a breath of fresh air to voters.
