Massive traffic restrictions in Bavaria: A 95 and B 318 affected!
The upcoming construction work in Bavaria is causing serious traffic disruptions on important roads and motorways. From Monday, June 30th, both the B 318 and the A 95 in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen will be affected. The A 95 will be completely closed from the Murnau/Kochel junction to Eschenlohe, which will result in significant detours for commuters and travelers. This closure begins at 7 a.m. and lasts until Wednesday afternoon, July 2nd, like that Mercury reported.
But that's not all: the B 318 is also being completely renovated over a stretch of around 750 meters southwest of Warngau. Loud State Ministry of Construction Work will begin on June 30th and is scheduled to be completed by July 18th. During this time, partial closures and traffic light regulations are to be expected. Particularly important: In the week from July 7th to 11th there will be a complete nighttime closure of the B 318, always between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Numerous diversions via the local transport network are necessary.
Construction scope and investments
The renovation includes milling around 10 cm of the old roadway and installing around 1,500 tonnes of fresh asphalt. The total investment of around 320,000 euros is financed from federal funds. The construction work is linked to the weather conditions, so delays cannot be ruled out, which means that the understanding of road users can be counted on.
A lot of trust is also required for other construction sites in the region. Work will begin on July 7th to renew the roadway on federal highway 13, which extends over a total of 6 km. This construction work will be carried out in three phases, with road traffic only being able to flow on one side during the entire duration. The Ansbach State Building Authority announces that completion is targeted for early November 2025.
Traffic control and diversions
The traffic diversions are well thought out. Traffic from Uffenheim and Bad Windsheim will be redirected via Endsee to the St 2419, while traffic from Ansbach will remain on the B 13. The diversion takes place via Steinsfeld to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and further via the St 2250 through Colmberg to Lehrberg. Here too, we ask for your understanding for the resulting traffic disruptions.
The extensive road work underlines the need to bring the region's infrastructure into shape, although the disruption will certainly pose a challenge for many drivers.
