Mittenwald rejoices: 2025 will be a record year for tourism!
The market town of Mittenwald will really flourish in 2025 and will present itself from its best side financially. Treasurer Josef Stieglmeier even describes this year as a “record year”. Tourism on the rise

This is not least due to the increased sales in pubs, hotels and rental companies. “Business in the catering industry is booming,” says treasurer Stieglmeier.
Another plus point: From January 1, 2026, VAT on food will be reduced from 19 to 7 percent. A step that is intended to further revitalize the catering industry and offer visitors a financial incentive to choose Mittenwald as a holiday destination.
