Mindfulness and AI: New concept for the Haßberge in tourism!

On October 20, 2025, around 90 participants, including district administrators, mayors and tourism professionals, met in the tranquil Wasmuthhausen Castle in Maroldsweisach to discuss the future of tourism. Organized by Haßberge Tourismus e.V., the listed seminar house, which has been in use since 1989, offered a perfect backdrop for an exciting event. Owner Laurin Bauer, who presents the new seminar room for yoga, meditation and creative workshops, emphasizes the positive response from guests who appreciate the silence and nature of the place. This shows that the desire for peace and digital time-out is becoming ever greater in times of artificial intelligence (AI), as is the case Mainpost reported.

The event began at 5:00 p.m. with a welcome by District Administrator Wilhelm Schneider, who is also the first chairman of Haßberge Tourismus. In his speech, Schneider emphasized the importance of finding a balance between technological progress and conscious deceleration. The keynote speech by Rainer Rother, Director Innovation & AI at marcapo GmbH, presented innovative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Midjourney, which are being used more and more frequently in tourism. These technologies offer opportunities to optimize content and provide new impetus for the industry, such as Mountains of hate describes.

The outlook for the future of tourism

With the introduction of artificial intelligence in the tourism sector, the possibilities are almost limitless. The exhibition of quality certificates was another highlight of the evening: four new companies received the Bett+Bike seal, while twelve hosts were awarded DTV stars. These recognitions reflect the hosts’ commitment to continually improving the quality of tourism in the region. This also became clear to the interested group who met at a get-together in the winter garden after the lectures. A vegetarian buffet was set there, accompanied by regional drinks.

The event fits perfectly with the two roadshows that Haßberge Tourismus e.V. initiated in 2025 under the motto “Discover home”. On May 5th there were guided hikes to the Bramberg castle ruins and on October 13th there was a visit to the terroir-f point in the Abt-Degen-Weintal. These initiatives show that the region is ready to break new ground and make the most of the combination of mindfulness and innovative technologies, which also comes from Intensive senses is taken up.
