Despite a strong performance, the Ingolstadt team lost 1:2, which meant a setback for the team. In addition, the defeat was particularly bitter because both of Stuttgart's goals conceded came in stoppage time and the Ingolstadt team had long been hoping for a point. Danube Courier reports that Ingolstadt are now seven points behind the top three places with four games still to play this season.

In the 44th minute, Vincent Straßer managed to get the ball into the net after a successful attack on the right side, giving Ingolstadt the lead.
In the second half, the chances became more numerous on both sides, but Ingolstadt couldn't maintain the result. The unforeseen happened in added time: Matheos Tsigkas was able to equalize for Stuttgart with a header in the 90th+3 minute, before Tuncay Durna converted a penalty in the 90+6 minute for a 2-1 win.
