Lots of harmony inspires with tonal diversity in Riedenburg!
On Saturday evening, the lake stage in Riedenburg was filled with a colorful carpet of brass music. The Vielharmonie group, which is committed to promoting brass music in the Kelheim region, presented its third concert this year and attracted around 200 listeners. The backdrop of the natural arena not only offered a breathtaking view, but also exceptional acoustics, which enabled guests to enjoy the subtle nuances of the music. The association's voluntary work is particularly valued because it offers musicians of all ages a platform to make music together, as Kelheim.de emphasizes.
The musical director Korbinian Wimmer, who has shaped the group with his commitment since its founding in 2004, was enthusiastic about the unique atmosphere of the evening. “The stage is wonderful, the backdrop is fantastically beautiful,” enthused Wimmer, emphasizing that this was the Vielharmonie’s first concert on the lake stage, which posed a special challenge for the ensemble. The approximately hour-long concert entertainment was rewarded with warm applause from the audience, and the weather lived up to the name “Summer Serenade”.
Diverse repertoire and community spirit
The Vielharmonie program was a successful mix of traditional, classical concert and modern wind orchestra music. The listeners could look forward to a wide spectrum that included both Bavarian-Bohemian sounds and current pop hits. Once again the group proved that they have a good knack for musical diversity and are continually increasing their performance level. According to information from BDMV.de, such groups play a central role in the further development of brass music in Germany.
With a clear structure and regular public appearances, Vielharmonie strengthens the community spirit in club life. In a pre-orchestra, an adult wind class and the main orchestra, musicians have the opportunity to develop further in different groups. Mutual support and the joy of making music together are core themes that shape the club and are firmly anchored.
The Vielharmonie is not just a music band, but a living part of the culture in Kelheim, which remains committed to the goal of promoting brass music throughout the Altmühltal. The commitment to a cross-generational music community remains essential. While the group advances brass music with passion and artistic ambition, we can look forward to many more wonderful concerts.
