New President Jochen Haueißen leads Rotary Club Kulmbach into new times!

A fresh wind is blowing through the Rotary Club of Kulmbach: On July 9, 2025, the inauguration of Dr. Roland Kreutzer replaced Jochen Haueißen, who now holds the reins as the new president. Around 70 Rotarian friends and partners celebrated this important moment, which was accompanied musically by Klara, Henriette and Johann Gollner. Jochen Haueißen is the 60th president in the club's history and has great ambitions for the coming Rotary year.

In his closing speech, Dr. Kreutzer returned an impressive 50,000 euros in donations, which were collected for numerous social projects. Last year the club successfully implemented the hands-on project “Culture in Homes” and had other highlights such as the Christmas party and the ski meeting in Kufstein. These events are not only a sign of cohesion, but also of active participation in society. The diverse activities show the importance the club attaches to social projects, which are carried out an average of 7,000 times a year in Germany by Rotary and Rotaract, as the Rotary.de portal reports.

New challenges and plans

With the motto “The good is so close,” Jochen Haueißen wants to bring a breath of fresh air into the tradition. New meeting structures and the continuation of proven projects such as “Culture in Homes” are planned. Another highlight will be the spectacular charter celebration for the club's 60th anniversary in June 2026. Haueißen is already looking forward to the presidential trip to Rome next spring, where the participants will also visit the Vatican.

In order to further develop the activities in a targeted manner, some new board members were also appointed. Klaus Buß will take over as vice president and Barbara Hahn will take on the role of secretary. These personnel changes will certainly bring new impetus to the club's work.

Commitment has an impact

Rotarians' commitment is reflected not only in the financial results, but also in the 177,000 hands-on hours provided annually. According to a current survey by the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, the average financial performance per Rotary Club in Germany is around 29,000 euros. This is evidence of the clubs' remarkable achievements, especially in times like the Corona pandemic, where help was provided uninterrupted despite the challenges.

The Rotary Club Kulmbach is not only active locally, but also present on social media. On Facebook and Instagram (#rckulmbach) the club provides information about current activities and projects and invites interested citizens to become part of this community. At the official handover, Jochen Haueißen announced that he was looking forward to an eventful year and would like to thank all of his supporters.
