After the bitter 4-0 defeat against Crimmitschau last week, the Towerstars analyzed the weaknesses in their performance. In the last week of training there was intensive work on improvement, even if the preparatory games against Regensburg brought mixed results - one win and one defeat.
The Eisbären Regensburg on the rise
The Eisbären Regensburg, who are in a solid sixth place in the table this season with 19 points, also come to Ravensburg with self-confidence. They recently celebrated their first championship title in the DEL2 after promotion from the Oberliga after defeating the EC Kassel Huskies 4-2 in the final. Regensburg has thus secured relegation for the Augsburger Panthers in the DEL, even though they have not applied for a first division license because their home venue, the Donau-Arena, is considered unsuitable and poses financial risks. This game will be particularly exciting because the Towerstars lost the first main round game against Landshut 1:8, with the special teams playing a crucial role. But the Ravensburgers have recently significantly reduced their penalty times, showing that they have learned from past mistakes.
The situation is also tense for the home game opponents. EV Landshut lost two close games against Kaufbeuren and Bietigheim last weekend and could use any support. The Towerstars can rely on the support of the fans; tickets are available in the fan shop and online. In addition, due to the closure of the Oberschwabenhallen parking area, it is recommended to use the employment agency's employee parking lot.
