Recently there have been several fire brigade operations in the region around Gemünden and Aura that were alerted for different reasons. On Friday evening, a concerned smoke alarm was reported in an apartment in Gemünden, which resulted in a quick response from the fire brigade from Langenprozelten and Gemünden. A 65-year-old woman accidentally burned a pot on the stove, which caused a lot of smoke to develop. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control, while the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. The Aura fire department and its neighboring fire departments had already gone through an alarming situation for an exercise in Deutelbach in September 2023 in order to train cooperation. In these exercises, particular attention is paid to travel times and the effectiveness of firefighting measures. The Burgjoss fire department arrived 13 minutes after the alarm was raised at 7:26 p.m., followed by Oberndorf and Aura, who arrived at 7:28 and 7:30 p.m. Over 66 firefighters took part in this exercise, which shows the fire departments' commitment to action. Traffic accidents cause property damage

In addition to the fires, there are also a few accidents to report in Gemünden. A parked Toyota Yaris belonging to a 59-year-old woman was hit between Thursday afternoon and Saturday evening, causing damage to the right rear fender.
