Ski Club Erlenbach: Successful general meeting with honors!
The annual general meeting took place on November 7, 2025 Erlenbach ski clubs took place, where important topics such as new elections, annual reports and an adjustment of membership fees were on the agenda. With 427 members and an active participation of 195 in the camps last season, the club has achieved a lot.
The memory of deceased members was particularly moving, including honorary chairman Willi Patzelt as well as Hans Wasse and Friedbert Kunz. The focus was also on honoring long-standing members: seven people were honored for 25 years, four for 40 years and nine for 50 years of club membership.
New elections and changes
The new elections brought a breath of fresh air into the club's management. Alexander Patzelt was elected as first chairman, while Dr. Udo Hartmann takes over the finances. Christian Patzelt heads the administration, and Sabine Seipel was appointed as youth officer. Many of the former and new people in charge have proven themselves at various events, including the young skiers. The first activities for the 2025/2026 ski season have already been determined. This includes a youth winter camp from December 26, 2025 to January 2, 2026 in Kaltenbach.
Other trips include the club teaching week in Auffach from January 18th to 24th, 2026 and a winter weekend in Saalbach-Hinterglemm from February 26th to March 1st.
The membership fees have also been revised and will apply from January 1, 2026: adults pay 30 euros, while young people pay 20 euros and children pay 15 euros. A family contribution was set at 70 euros. These changes are intended to help to involve young people and families more closely in the club structure and to stabilize membership numbers - an issue that also affects other clubs in Germany, as the analysis by Statista shows.
Club life and events
In addition to the traditional ski activities, the club also offers a summer program led by Burkhard Schmitt. In addition, Nordic walking meetings take place regularly and there are sustainable club activities, including the “Saubere Flur Campaign” and a club action day. The offer is rounded off by the ski gymnastics, which starts after the Nordic walking meetings - a leader is still being sought here.
A special highlight for all fans of the club is taking part in the Erlenbacher Advent magic on December 22nd, 2025, where the ski club will be present for the entire community. The importance of such events lies not only in the sporting area, but also in social interaction, which is central to the survival of a club.
In times when the conditions for clubs are constantly changing, it is important, even at the Ski Club Dr. Patzelt & Co. pursue innovative approaches, for example through SWOT analyses, like them Reutlingen IHK describes in order to expand the club's strengths, reduce weaknesses and identify promising opportunities. It will be exciting to see how things will develop in the coming year.
