Memmingen Airport has news that will really boost travel in the region. From October 2025, the well-known airline Ryanair will start its flight program with a new destination. From October 30th, travelers can fly to the Romanian capital Bucharest directly from Memmingen. Another reason to plan a trip!

Ryanair will offer four weekly flights to Bucharest Baneasa - an airport that is more centrally located in the city than the Henri Coandă airport previously served by Wizz Air. The flight times are well thought out and offer optimal opportunities for short trips: on Mondays the plane takes off at 1:25 p.m., while on Thursdays and Fridays the first flights take off at 6:00 a.m. On Saturday we head to the Romanian capital at 4:40 p.m. With a flight time of just two hours and ten minutes, you can quickly get there and discover the beauty of this city. But that's not enough! Ryanair has recently expanded its entire route network and will also offer new connections to various destinations in the future. Anyone who flies from London-Stansted can look forward to beautiful holiday destinations such as Bodrum or Dalaman. The range of services is also being expanded in Austria: from Salzburg you can go to Alicante and from Linz even to Bari, also from May 2025. Reisebuch emphasizes that the new routes are in very high demand and strengthen smaller airports, while larger ones partially lose through traffic.
