The 34-year-old is moving from Karlsruher SC, where he worked for over 14 years, most recently as head of development, scouting and analysis. His contract with KSC ends on August 31st, and the anticipation of the new challenge is palpable.
Bischof's tasks at FCN are varied: he will work closely with Joti Chatzialexiou, the club's sports director. The areas of scouting, transfer management and squad planning will be his area of responsibility. Chatzialexiou speaks positively about Bischof's vita and profile and emphasizes that their perspectives on the sporting field fit together well. A good team that is being created!
Career and expertise
What does Bishop bring with him? He started his career at Karlsruher SC parallel to his studies in sports science, which gave him a solid basis for his future tasks. During his time in Karlsruhe, he held various positions in the areas of analysis and scouting - experience that will benefit him in his new role. Among other things, he was assistant coach to Lukas Kwasniok and led the U17s before working as assistant coach analysis of the U23s at Hoffenheim.
He then returned to the Karlsruher SC youth performance center as sporting director, where he implemented structural changes and supported players who made the leap to the professionals and to Europe. This shows that Bischof has a good knack for talent - a real asset for the FCN!
