René Wolf: New mayoral candidate for Klingenberg-Röllfeld!
A new face for Klingenberg: René Wolf, 38 years old and well versed in the topic as a financial specialist and entrepreneur, was elected mayoral candidate on October 20, 2025 at the assembly meeting of the Free Voters Klingenberg - Röllfeld. With an impressive performance, he won all valid votes and will take the interests of his fellow citizens into his own hands. Wolf, who lives in Röllfeld with his wife, sees himself as the right candidate for the challenges that the city is currently mastering. He emphasizes: “I am not a panacea, but I bring fresh ideas.”
A central concern of his candidacy is the revitalization of the old town. “There is enormous potential there that we have to exploit,” says Wolf. In order to make the old town more attractive, he is planning various measures: from support programs and discounts for smaller businesses, cafés and retailers to better coordination of existing events. Wolf attaches great importance to transparency and proximity to citizens. Regular citizens' afternoons are intended to provide space for ideas and discussions - an initiative that he considers important to ensure that all voices in the city are heard.
Focus on economy and quality of life
Another goal is to strengthen Klingenberg as a business location. Wolf would like to support companies that want to establish themselves or expand. “We need new impulses to remain competitive,” he says. At the same time, he is planning to create affordable living space through new development areas, in collaboration with the city's construction and housing company. Not only the current situation is important to him, but also sustainability.
Wolf's suggestions also address topics that currently affect the debate about municipal finances. The need for better structures and a fair financial policy is omnipresent in Germany. Cities must become more creative in order to use their financial resources efficiently. Wolf also has clear ideas when it comes to the issue of cleanliness and maintenance of public areas: “We have to act together to combat illegal waste disposal.” Initiatives to promote regional products and sustainable management are also part of its program.
A city for all generations
Wolf not only wants to involve young people in urban development, but also the older generation. Barrier-free meeting places and neighborhood initiatives are particularly important to him. Modern leisure activities and the establishment of a youth council should help make Klingenberg a place for all generations. This is particularly important to promote a strong sense of community.
At a time when many cities are focusing on sustainability, Wolf also has approaches up his sleeve here. His ideas for climate-resilient urban forests and the digitalization of city administration are not only modern, but also urgently necessary. Wolf has set himself the goal of gradually improving the city's finances in order to ensure both mandatory tasks and voluntary services in the long term.
René Wolf represents a breath of fresh air in Klingenberg. It remains to be seen whether he will manage to achieve his goals and win the residents over to his ideas. But one thing is clear: with a citizen who loves their city and wants to actively shape it, the chance of positive change will increase.
