Student harassed: 16-year-old becomes a hero in Elsenfeld!

On Friday morning, November 2, 2025, a disturbing incident occurred in Elsenfeld that shocked the local school community. At around 8:15 a.m., a 16-year-old student was being harassed by an unknown man when a brave 16-year-old student intervened to protect her. During the scuffle, the boy sustained minor injuries to his hand while the perpetrator fled in an unknown direction. The description of the suspect is: around 175 cm tall, around 65 years old with a gray beard on his chin and cheeks. The Obernburg police have been contacted and are looking for witnesses in order to obtain information, especially from the affected girl herself.

But it's not just in Elsenfeld that crime cases are causing a stir. In the Aschaffenburg district, three break-ins in single-family homes were discovered on the same day. The first burglary in Goldbach occurred between 5:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., with perpetrators forcing their way in through a skylight and stealing jewelry and cash in the mid-six-figure range. The second case in Amorbach took place between 4:15 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.; The burglars were unable to make any money here because they broke in through a patio door. Finally, another house was searched in Heimbuchenthal between Thursday, 8:30 a.m. and Friday, 11:45 a.m., with the burglars leaving without any loot. The Aschaffenburg criminal police are investigating all cases and checking whether there is a connection between the break-ins. Any information is welcome on Tel. 06021/857-1733.

Safety first

In view of these incidents, the police have issued guidelines to increase the safety of citizens. These include, among other things: locking windows and balcony and patio doors securely even when you are away for a short time, treating tilted windows as open windows and always locking doors twice. We are also advised not to leave keys outside and to close shutters at night. Advice centers in Würzburg, Aschaffenburg and Schweinfurt are also available to offer support.

Traffic accidents and other incidents

The police are also issuing a call for traffic accidents. A parked gray VW Golf was damaged in Obernburg am Main, the damage is estimated at 2,000 euros. Another incident occurred in Leidsbach, OT Ebersbach, where a 63-year-old motorcyclist was slightly injured while overtaking. The damage to the motorcycle amounts to around 1,000 euros. Information about these incidents can be given to the Obernburg police station on 06022/629-0.

As you can see, there is a lot to report in the region - the commitment of citizens to help each other and support local authorities is particularly important at times like this. Show vigilance and stay safe!
