Munich celebrates enjoyment: Freyheit Festival brings alcohol-free variety!
There's a lot going on in Munich about enjoyment. Whether it's wine, whiskey or an exciting non-alcoholic fair, the city has something to offer for every taste. A highlight is already just around the corner: this Freedom Festival will take place on September 6, 2025 in the Old Parcel Post Hall, also known as Pineapple Park. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. you can look forward to over 100 non-alcoholic drinks from 52 producers. This includes not only wines and beers, but also creative cocktails, aromatic teas and sparkling kombuchas. An offer not to be missed!
The festival is complemented by a varied supporting program. In addition to enjoyable tastings, visitors can look forward to street food ranging from hearty to vegan. Live music and DJs ensure the right atmosphere. The program also includes master classes and talks on topics such as trends and flavors. Families also get their money's worth: children up to 16 years of age have free entry, although the protection of minors is of course taken into account here.
Wine and more in autumn
After the Freyheit Festival has taken place, there are further enjoyable events on the program in Munich. The Palatinate Wine Fair will take place on September 27th and 28th in the Pfälzer Residenz Weinstube. On September 27th from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on September 28th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. you can enjoy tasting Rieslings and Pinot Noirs.
Another event that will make the hearts of wine lovers beat faster is “Burgenland meets Styria” on October 16th in the Tonhalle in the Werksviertel. From 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., over 75 winemakers will present their best wines, with an entry price of 19 euros in advance and 25 euros at the box office.
Large wine fairs and culinary highlights
The popular “Wine Munich” trade fair takes place on the Praterinsel from October 17th to 19th. There are 120 exhibitors with around 900 wines waiting to be discovered here. Day tickets are available online in advance for 18 euros and at the box office for 20 euros.
Another highlight is the Vinessio wine fair, which will be present in Munich again in 2026. Visitors can particularly look forward to the wide range of culinary offerings, which include salami, cheese specialties, truffles and high-quality oils.
And that's not all: The “Food & Life” trade fair will take place at the exhibition center from November 12th to 16th and promises over 250 exhibitors as well as live cooking shows. And things will be exciting for whiskey fans from November 21st to 23rd in the Wappenhalle in Munich-Riem, where the “Munich Whiskey & Spirits” event is on the agenda.
A true land of milk and honey for pleasure lovers is on its way to Munich. One thing is certain: there is something for everyone here, so the anticipation can grow a lot!
