Something really great is in the air again in Neu-Ulm! In the impressive St. Johann Baptist, visitors can expect the 360-degree projection “Genesis”, which is already exciting many people. This fascinating event is organized by the art collective Projektil, under the creative direction of Roman Beranek, one of the co-founders. The event takes place as part of the Catholic parish's city pastoral care and is aimed at all age groups. There is something for everyone here!
The production “Genesis” has undergone immense preparatory work: around 3,000 hours were invested in development, with a dedicated team of around 15 people. The show begins with “In the Beginning There was Light” and takes viewers on a visual journey through various elements of the creation story. What is particularly noteworthy is that specially developed software is used that harmoniously combines motion and graphic design with music. From Mahler to Offenbach – the musical background ensures that the emotions of the audience are deeply touched.
Unique experience and practical information
There are fixed admission times for everyone who would like to take part in one of the performances: 5.30 p.m., 6.15 p.m., 7 p.m., 7.45 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. Tickets can be booked online or purchased at the box office. The show lasts about 30 minutes and, among other things, focuses on slowing down and forgetting the outside world. The second act brings the elements of “water and air” into play, followed by “earth and plants,” allowing the audience to delve deeper into the symbolism of creation.
“Genesis” can be experienced in St. Johann Baptist until December 16th, every day in November – with the exception of Monday and Tuesday. This exciting and thoughtful journey through the story of creation offers a welcome break from hectic everyday life.
