Museum of Fine Arts: Renovation begins, exhibitions remain!

In Neu-Ulm, the Museum of Fine Arts is becoming the scene of an exciting renovation: Like that Swabian reported that despite ongoing renovation work, the doors are open to art lovers. 43 of the house's wooden windows are currently being refurbished, and the west facade with its classical gable is being freshly painted and repaired. However, the most important exhibitions are scheduled to end early on July 13th in order not to stand in the way of the renovation work that has begun.

The museum is scheduled to reopen on August 13, 2025, with two fresh exhibitions that will enrich the cultural landscape. The two special exhibitions by Christine Reiter and Gisela Hoßfeld-Weber, which are worth seeing, are currently on view. The latter deals with a wealth of abstract works, while the former presents prints, drawings and objects inspired by nature.

Artistic events in the next few weeks

Art lovers can look forward to a series of interactive events taking place until the end of the exhibition: an interactive visit specifically for older adults starts on June 27th at 10 a.m., followed by a children's art workshop on June 28th at 2 p.m. Creative young people aged 6 and over will have the opportunity to become artistic themselves. Registrations are required up to two days before the event.

In addition, the museum invites you to a musical reading by the Ulm Authors Association on July 6th at 11 a.m., followed by an art enjoyment and aperitif with Christine Reiter on July 8th at 6:30 p.m. Unless otherwise stated, all events are free, which is a real highlight for many visitors.

Benefit from feedback

Visitors to the museum have reported on their experiences in the past, which were often very positive. A pleasant atmosphere when purchasing tickets and a helpful employee who offered a family ticket were appreciated by many. The accessibility of the works of art was also praised, but there were suggestions for improvement, such as the cloakroom situation, as there are not enough boxes available for the large number of visitors in the winter months.

For anyone who is now spontaneously interested in visiting the museum, this is the ideal opportunity to explore the current exhibitions until July 13th. Artistic works that stimulate thought and show the diversity of art are waiting for your visit! Information about opening times and registration for events can be found on the website Augsburg General and the Tripadvisor.
