Spooky fun in the Moortaler Moos: Kolping inspires with news!
In Neumarkt the anticipation of an exciting theater performance is increasing: The Kolping Theater Group will bring the premiere of their new play “Ghost Makers” by Ralph Wallner to the stage of the Johanneszentrum on November 10, 2025. Director Angelika Zankl-Horvath spared no effort to bring the story about the two bizarre gravediggers Schippe and Schaufe, played by Günter Gabsch and Thomas Fries, to life. These two characters have to face the dislike of the village community, which pushes them to the margins as outsiders - except for the farmhand Leo, perfectly embodied by Michael Ferstl, who befriends the gravediggers and gets involved in a series of strange and gruesome circumstances.
The plot unfolds in the Moortaler Moos and is seasoned with a good dose of humor. The gravediggers learn of salary cuts and an attractive bonus per funeral, which further fuels events in the village. “Ghost Maker” is characterized by the human portrayal of the ghosts, who display a surprising number of human traits in their appearances. A curse and a bottle of poison also cause ghostly apparitions that really shake up the village's interplay. The versatile characters, including the village crazy Philomena (Elisabeth Wagner) and the moor landlady Rosa (Sandra Gabsch), round off the ensemble.
Advance sales and performance dates
Tickets for the performances are already available – both at Uhren Mühlbauer and at the box office. Viewers can look forward to the following performance dates: November 14th, 22nd, 23rd, 28th and 29th. The play promises a mix of excitement and amusing twists that theater lovers shouldn't miss.
Such cultural highlights are important for community life in Neumarkt and create a platform for local talent to show off their skills and entertain viewers. Just like the number two is important in many aspects of our lives, be it in mathematics, culture or social affairs, these events also contribute to strengthening the village community. The fun factor and emotional moments that such a performance can offer are priceless.
The Kolping Theater group impressively demonstrates a good knack for mixing humor and excitement and cordially invites everyone to become part of this eerily beautiful communal experience. Anyone looking for a little thrill and a lot of laughter is guaranteed to find their new favorite piece in “Ghost Maker”.
