Schwarzenfeld: Witnesses urgently wanted for mysterious traffic accident!
There are currently some exciting and sometimes worrying developments in the Upper Palatinate. On August 12th, a traffic accident occurred in Schwarzenfeld involving two vehicles and the police are now looking for witnesses. The incident happened around 7:00 p.m. on Nabburger Strasse. There are different opinions about the cause of the accident, and a third road user may even have been involved in the situation. There were also reports of injuries in Brennberg, where a 56-year-old driver left the road in a right-hand bend and crashed into a rainwater pipe. The police still have their hands full. In Nittendorf on August 12th, a trailer tipped over on an exit lane of the A3 after the driver lost his load in a right-hand bend. Here the property damage was also in the mid-three-digit range and the motorway had to be closed for around an hour. Once again, road safety is a hot topic in the region.
A notable incident also occurred in Max Reger Park, where police arrested a 52-year-old man who resisted the measures. A police officer sustained minor injuries. In the meantime, a tragic event has also been reported in the Main-Danube Canal: a 66-year-old man was discovered floating lifeless. The water rescue services and fire brigades helped with the rescue efforts and were able to determine a natural cause of death.
Crime and security situation
Crime in the region does not stop there. A sports bag was stolen from an open convertible on Tillystrasse. The perpetrator, a man in a white shirt, was able to get away unnoticed, but the police have already asked for information. The picture is completed by a shoplifting incident in which two men were seen putting goods into their backpack while a third man kept an eye on the surrounding area. The police were able to apprehend the two perpetrators, Romanian citizens aged 37 and 44, as they fled.
Last but not least, an incident should also be mentioned in which a 47-year-old driver was stopped under the influence of alcohol on the state road between Velburg and Parsberg. He was prevented from continuing his journey, which could prompt the police to carry out further checks.
