Police are desperately searching for missing mother from Lauben!

In the quiet community of Lauben, in the Unterallgäu district, there has been consternation and concern for two weeks. Valerie v. M., a 36-year-old mother of two small children, has been missing since August 5, 2025. The Oberallgäu police have already published a photo of the missing woman because there is a suspicion that she could be in a “helpless situation”. This situation has upset not only her family but also the entire community. The family is deeply concerned and urgently needs information.

According to the police, the last contact with Valerie was with her partner at around 9:30 p.m. on the evening of August 5th, following an argument. After this incident, Valerie left the apartment in her car and drove to her leisure property between Lauben and Erkheim. Her car was later found there, but during the subsequent searches with police dogs and an intensive search, no trace of Valerie was found. Schwäbische.de stated that further inquiries regarding their potential whereabouts - possibly also in the direction of Munich - did not lead to clarification.

The search for Valerie v. M.

The situation is not only worrying, but also raises many questions. Valerie attended a family baptism ceremony two days before her disappearance and showed no signs of impending disappearance. The lack of advance warning particularly shocked the relatives, as they did not notice any of the typical warning signals. Their friends and family members are urgently asking the public for help. Information can be given to the Mindelheim police station on 08261/7685-0 or to any other police station.

Statistically speaking, many missing people in Germany quickly reappear. Loud HL Journal Between 80,000 and 100,000 missing person reports are recorded every year, with around 97-98% of all cases being solved within a few days. However, some cases remain unsolved for a long time, usually due to family conflicts, health problems or unknown circumstances. The legal framework allows the police to report missing persons directly and without a waiting period, which seems urgently necessary here in Lauben.

The role of the public

The public plays an essential role in solving such cases. Media, like RTL, use various channels, including social networks, to quickly disseminate information. This increases the possibility that relatives and the general public can provide information that leads to the finding of missing people.

At a time when the disappearance of people is increasingly coming into public awareness, it is important to look not only at the individual case, but also at the broader social and emotional challenges that such a situation brings with it. The hearts of the people in Lauben are heavy, and the hope remains that Valerie will soon return safely to her family.
