The police are also active here and have already published a photo and are appealing to the public to provide information. According to the latest information, the student has been found safe and sound, which at first eases the worries. She left her parents' house early in the morning but did not come to school, which sparked the search. The description of the girl shows that she is approximately 165 cm tall, has a slim figure and has long, brown hair. Her clothing at the time of the disappearance consisted of a black jacket, black sweatpants and white shoes. Here too, information should be given to the Passau police station. Current situation of missing persons cases in Bavaria

In general, according to the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office, the situation is worrying: in 2022, a total of 11,899 children and young people were reported missing in Bavaria. A number that illustrates how terrible this topic actually is. While 76 percent of cases are resolved within three days, there are also frightening trends: 156 children and 467 young people are still missing in Bavaria, almost 500 of them for over three months. There are often cases of unaccompanied minor refugees who disappear without a trace. BR reports that disputes over custody issues or the runaway of young people can be further reasons for the missing person reports.

Police are urging parents to come forward immediately if they are concerned and do not know the whereabouts of their children. This is an appeal that parents should definitely follow. Children under the age of 18 are already considered missing when they leave their usual circle of life. Information can often be crucial - even seemingly insignificant details.
