A special event is just around the corner in Untergriesbach: the 21st Homeland Days, which will be celebrated from July 10th to 14th, 2025. The occasion is the 50th anniversary of this traditional event initiated by and for the community. The heart of the festival is culinary delights and a diverse program, which this year has the motto “D’Leit from the whole community should celebrate z’ammkemma and with each other at the festival”. The home days are held in the town center and offer space for numerous groups, clubs and innkeepers to take an active part. This year, visitors can expect topics such as “Our Forest” at the Lanz Inn and “750 Years of Market Rights” in the area of the rectory. Of course, culture shouldn't be neglected either: the Lämmersdorfer Trachtler present “tradition and customs”, while the Untergriesbacher Schützen organize their festivities under the motto “200 Years of Bavarian”. Diverse program for young and old
The family-friendly attractions are particularly a big hit. The little ones can look forward to a children's carousel and bull riding, while adults can enjoy live music and culinary specialties. A highlight will be the keynote speech by Max Mauritz on the opening evening on July 10th. On the following Monday at 5 p.m., a themed tree will be ceremonially erected in front of the town hall, giving visitors an insight into the customs of the region. The end of the home days is the pageant with the clubs and the gold hood women, which is organized by the forest association under the theme “Weaving in Untergriesbach”.
