Trial days at the University of Passau: insight into law and economics!
On November 4, 2025, the University of Passau will open its doors to all interested high school students. A taster day in the field of “law” offers young people the opportunity to gain a deep insight into the world of law and modern technologies such as legal tech. From 9:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., participants can look forward to a varied program with short lectures, campus tours, lunch in the cafeteria and personal discussions with students. This event is a great opportunity to find out what studying at university is like and what perspectives it opens up. Interested students can experience another taster day on November 19th, the day of repentance and prayer - this time in the “Economy” area. From 9:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., participants will gain insights into courses such as Business Administration and Economics as well as Digital Transformation in Business and Society and Business Informatics. Lectures, campus visits and exchanges with students are also on the agenda here. These offers offer the opportunity to experience student life up close, which has already thrilled many participants, such as the University of Passau reported.
Insights into the study
The trial course is not just limited to the two days in November. The university is also hosting a comprehensive program at the start of the Whitsun holidays in 2026. Students have the chance to take part in various lectures, explore the campus and cafeteria and talk to current students to get an authentic impression of studying. According to the Innside Passau The trial offer remains free of charge, only the visit to the cafeteria costs five euros.
On special trial days that take place in May, students can also attend lectures in the areas of educational sciences as well as computer science and mathematics. Among other things, a hands-on offer for lessons with immigrant children is offered here.
