Jetzendorf defeats Durach: winning streak continues!

On Sunday, September 5th, 2025, TSV Jetzendorf will face VfB Durach in the tenth matchday of the Landesliga Südwest at 3 p.m. After a strong performance in the last few games, in which Jetzendorf celebrated two 4-0 wins, they have catapulted remarkably to fourth place in the table and are level on points with Rain. Coach Markus Pöllner considers the upcoming opponent Durach to be experienced and strong, but Jetzendorf was able to defeat them twice last season - both away (3:2) and at home (2:0). Jetzendorf was able to retain the upper hand.

What is particularly pleasing is that Jetzendorf has a solid defensive and offensive approach with 19 goals scored and only 5 goals conceded. The current form is inspiring the team, which is certainly what the football fans at Jetzendorfer Platz can expect. However, there are personnel challenges: defender Kristof Kuchlbauer will probably have to miss until next year due to a semester abroad. In addition, the appearances of Thomas Rausch, Gabriel Hasenbichler, Johannes Birkl and Yasin Keskin are questionable, and Niklas Schröder is also unavailable due to a muscle injury.

Structure and dynamics of the game

In the last encounter against Durach, Jetzendorf made a point. Leon Nuhanovic opened the scoring in the 44th minute, followed by Benedict Geuenich, who scored the second goal in the 86th minute, securing the 2-0 win. A decisive turning point came with the red card for Tobias Steidle von Durach in the 49th minute, which allowed Jetzendorf to show dominance in the game. With this win, Jetzendorf climbed to third place in the table, just three points behind the coveted promotion relegation spot, as Fupa.net reports.

But things are also getting hot in the Southwest Regional League. An example of this is FSV Pfaffenhofen, which is also on course for victory. After the last 3-0 win against Cosmos Aystetten, the team, under coach Daniel Zanker, is hoping for its third win in a row. However, it will be a challenge as the opponent on this match day, SG Niedersonthofen/Martinszell, is considered very experienced. The uncertainties in the FSV line-up could be the key to the success or failure of this game. The squad has been severely affected by injuries and absences.

More exciting developments in the league

There are also numerous events on the program on Saturday. SV Manching fights against 1. FC Sonthofen, while TSV Dachau 1865 competes against SC Oberweikertshofen. Manching is currently at the bottom of the table, a situation in which coach Cüneyt Köz takes responsibility for the performances. Loading times like this bring pressure, but perhaps the spark is needed to build on previous achievements. At 1. FC Sonthofen and at SC Olching there were exciting twists and turns on the last match day that thrilled the spectators.

Overall, the league is very exciting due to the tight score. Jetzendorf, Pfaffenhofen and Manching have to give their all to position themselves better in the table and present convincing performances to the fans.
