Pfaffenhofen stars Usselmann and Eisenhofer celebrate their national team debut!
It's an exciting day for inline hockey in the Pfaffenhofen area! Lukas Usselmann and Jeremy Eisenhofer, two promising talents from EC Pfaffenhofen, recently celebrated their debut in the German national team. In friendly matches against Belgium in Mannheim, they showed that they have what it takes to play in the international league. The games ended clearly with 7:3 and 6:3 for Germany, and the two boys from Pfaffenhofen contributed significantly to this success. While Usselmann kept the box clean as a goalkeeper and made some impressive saves, Eisenhofer shone as a defender with two goals and an assist during the two games, which thrilled his teammates and coach Richard Schwarzwaldau. Donaukurier reports that Usselmann has already taken part in three courses for the national team and is scheduled to be the main goalkeeper.
The two young players have a long history together, having known each other since their youth when they played for ERC Ingolstadt before further developing their skills with the Lumberjacks. Now they are back in the EC Pfaffenhofen Bayernliga team and are ready to support the club in the Bundesliga matchday on July 20th. They have to compete against the Allgäu Rockets and the Badgers Munich to ensure they stay in the league.
A new beginning for the inline hockey department
The successes of Usselmann and Eisenhofer are part of a larger upswing for the EC Pfaffenhofen inline hockey department. This was only founded last year and has quickly gained popularity. The first team is called the “Pfaffenhofener Brewers” and starts in the league on May 5th. Admission to the games in our own stadium is free, which attracts fans to the Stadtwerke Arena (former ice stadium) to watch exciting encounters. The games start at 10 a.m., with the Brewers in action several times.
The schedule includes exciting matches against the Skater Union Augsburg and Beer Rollers Trostberg, with the competition taking place on a rotating basis. The heads of the inline hockey department, Philip Schünemann, and youth leader André Obermann have put together a strong team consisting of various talented players, including Usselmann and Eisenhofer. Pfaffenhofen Today names the team lineup, which shows how well positioned the Brewers are are.
The two talents are not only figureheads for EC Pfaffenhofen, but also a sign of the joy and commitment that inline hockey radiates in the region. The coming weeks promise a lot of excitement and could be crucial for the development of this sport in the region.
