Jahn’s New Year’s reception: Developing progress” for Regensburg 2026!
On January 20, 2026, around 800 guests from politics, business, society and sport gathered in the Jahnstadion in Regensburg for the New Year's reception of the SSV Jahn Regensburg. During this atmospheric event, the new annual motto for 2026 was presented: “Developing progress”. Thomas Ebeling, board member in the commercial department of SSV Jahn, led the event and emphasized the need to tackle the challenges of the coming year together. “We use this framework to define a clear direction for our future,” explained Ebeling.
Oliver Hein, the club's former chairman, also spoke, and was recognized for his commitment last year. He spoke with gratitude about his time in office and the importance that the club has for the region. In his speech, managing director Philipp Hausner addressed the central questions of marketing, audience response and the development of membership. “Together we want to set the course for the future development of the club,” said Hausner.
Goals for 2026
The annual motto “Making progress” is not just a nice saying, but is actually intended to provide orientation and instructions for those responsible as well as the players and coaches. Including the challenges that lie ahead in the 2nd Bundesliga, SSV Jahn Regensburg has identified specific areas of action:
Hausner sent a message to the economy that challenges such as the pressure to innovate and the shortage of skilled workers must be actively addressed. At the same time, he called on politicians and society to create common framework conditions for progress. “We want to create added value for the region beyond football,” said Hausner.
