Bruckmühl triumphs in the basement duel: Steidl secures the narrow victory!
An exciting basement duel tested the spectators' nerves on Friday evening when SV Bruckmühl and TSV Siegsdorf met. In a hard-fought game that attracted a total of 100 visitors, the hosts from Bruckmühl won 1-0 and thereby secured valuable points in the relegation battle of the East District League. The decisive goal came in the 78th minute by Lukas Steidl, who took advantage of a serious mistake in the Siegsdorf defense and skillfully pushed the ball past goalkeeper Fabian König. [FUPA].
The game was anything but easy for the players, which was also confirmed by Bruckmühl's assistant coach, Benedikt Aigner, who represented head coach Mike Probst, who was unable to play. Aigner described the victory as hard-fought and well-deserved, while Steidl himself described the game as “dirty” and classified the goal as a happy moment. Although SV Bruckmühl was the dominant team and was not discouraged by the Siegsdorf goalkeeper's well-kept shots, they were initially unable to take advantage of several clear opportunities. Lineups and game play
SV Bruckmühl competed with the following line-up to achieve victory: Maximilian Gröbmeyer, Thomas Mühlhamer, Michael Kraxenberger, Philipp Keller, Patrick Kunze, Gerhard Stannek, Tobias Bloier, Kilian Mayer (63. Manuel Künzler), Lukas Helldobler, Michele Cosentino and Lukas Steidl. Coach Mike Probst's absence was compensated for by the assistant coach, who watched on the sidelines as his team consistently defended and left little room for Siegsdorf's attacks.
The guests from Siegsdorf also had their line-up: Fabian König, Paul Glassl (84th Simon Maier), Fabian Furch (78th Elias Mayer), Florian Zaunick, Benedikt Gartner, Maximilian Huber, Sebastian Reiter (82nd Felix Brandner), Maximilian Reiter, Liam Grill, Samuel Anthuber (68th Florian Aigner) and Adrian Furch, under the direction of coach Felix Maaßen. However, Siegsdorfer's defense had its problems, especially a short back pass from Paul Glassl provided the decisive moment of the game and led to the only goal of the evening.
More league results
Another game took place at the same time: SV Miesbach secured a 2-0 win against SV Saaldorf. Goals for Miesbach were scored by Ricardo Pindado in the 67th minute and Josef Sontheim in stoppage time (90th + 2 minutes). Here, too, the number of spectators was 100 and the event was characterized by a single yellow-red card, which was awarded to Paul König from SV Saaldorf. These results show that the table constellation in the East District League remains exciting and every point is important for the teams concerned.
With the important victory, Bruckmühl now has a total of 16 points in the league and a comfortable distance of eight points from the direct relegation zone. The next game is next week and the team will have to do everything they can to continue the upward trend and further isolate themselves from the lower echelons.
