There is also sad news: Joseph Hannesschläger, who played Chief Detective Korbinian Hofer for a long time, died in 2020 after a battle with cancer. Another loss was Matthias Messner, whose body was found in a Vienna forest in 2021. He was also only 42 years old. Such fates show how important the actors were to the series and the hearts of fans.

Now that we turn our attention to the current cast, it becomes clear that “The Rosenheim Cops” is still on a high course. The new season of the ZDF cult series, which many fans are already eagerly awaiting, will be broadcast from autumn 2025.
