An unforgettable experience: Daniel Wäsch from Soest was at the Challenge Roth participated on July 19, 2025. With an impressive time of 12:56:59 hours, he secured 56th place in his age group in the most important long-distance triathlon in the world. The competition once again attracted athletes from all over the world, while the atmosphere in Roth was simply unique.

The competition began at 7:45 a.m. with swimming in the Main-Danube Canal, whose high water temperatures meant that participants jumped into the water without wetsuits. Wäsch mastered the 3.8 kilometers in the cool water with flying colors before switching to the bike route. This led over 180 kilometers through the picturesque surroundings of the Roth district, known for steep climbs such as those on Solarer Berg and Kalvarienberg, which attracted numerous spectators to cheer on the athletes.

Triathlon in its most beautiful form

The Challenge Roth has been one of the best-known triathlons since it was first held over the Ironman distance in 1990.
