The A6 motorway between Nuremberg and Schwabach is currently being extensively expanded, which will result in significant restrictions for drivers. Autobahn GmbH will be working on one of the largest construction projects on German highways until the end of August 2025. Parts of the A6 have been closed since July 1, 2025. The affected section stretches for around 12 kilometers between the Auergrundel and Schwabach-Süd junctions. During this time, a new road surface will be laid, further complicating the traffic situation. Drivers must prepare for traffic being diverted onto one lane in both directions. The diversion takes you along the carriageway to Heilbronn, while a speed limit of 80 km/h applies.
