Retro.Tante: 90s & 2000s party in Schweinfurt – party until dawn!
The Cologne party scene has found a new hotspot with the event “Retro.Tante – 90s & 2000s”. From December 12, 2025, a musical journey through time to the 90s and 2000s will begin every Friday in the Suzie Bar from 10 p.m. With a mix of pop, R'n'B, hip-hop and Eurodance, every nostalgic's heart will beat faster. Entry is possible from 16 years of age, although one adult can supervise up to two minors upon presentation of an appropriate U18 form signed by parents.
Another highlight of the event are the special drink promotions: “Double Trouble – 2 for 1” until midnight, exclusively for visitors who use the Tante Suzie app. Ticket prices are quite cheap in advance, with two tickets available for 5 euros plus fees. Tickets are available at the box office for 8 euros. A special offer: one accompanying person has free entry until midnight.
The development of club culture
The challenge that many clubs in Berlin face today is gentrification and the associated high rents. In 2021, “Rave The Planet” applied for the recognition of Berlin club culture as an intangible UNESCO cultural heritage - an important step towards saving the diverse club landscape. In Cologne too, it is important to pay attention to these developments and to make the local nightlife sustainable.
A look beyond Cologne's borders
While clubs have long since established themselves in Berlin and are making history with names like Tresor or E-Werk, the Cologne scene is perhaps not quite at this level yet, but is becoming increasingly important. Innovative club concepts and technologies are shaping future going out behavior. More and more organizers are relying on digital platforms to advertise their events and communicate with guests.
Overall, a look at the club culture in Cologne and Berlin shows that it is important to secure freedom and develop sustainable concepts that promote cultural diversity. It is important to have a good knack for preserving the historical and cultural roots of club culture while at the same time breaking new ground.
With the Retro.Tante, Cologne residents and visitors are offered the opportunity to reminisce and dance - in an ambience that is reminiscent of the glamorous times of the 90s and 2000s. If that's not a reason to download the Aunt Suzie app and get a taste for nostalgia!
Don't miss the opening of Retro.Tante and be there when it says: “Dance in the memories!” Further information can be found here: Regioactive, Everyone loves Berlin, and the latest sports news AP News.
